Oh well so i have finished reading half-blood prince. i actually woke up at 6am on sat morning, ran out of the house in 15mins time. rushed to Borders at around 6.45am to meet siyng. the sky was still dark man. you may think im mad but that's considered nothing cos there's actually hundreds of people queuing outside Borders already. i didnt expect the queue to get so looooong. you know the area outside Borders, that circular part with the pointed roof, people were queuing around it, then the queue continued to stretch towards the pavement along the bookstore. me and siyng were standing somewhere near the middle of the pavement, so you can imagine how long the queue is heh. saw people wearing robes lar. hahaa.

After which people started to countdown, couldnt see what exactly has happened cos i was standing outside. people shouting 'we want harry, we want harry!' yea kinda lame i know. at 7.01am everyone cheered then i think the staff let the people in to get the book. but the queue was hardly moving. then we overheard from someone that we can actually go by the back door cos there's actually cashiers there. the 2 hwa chong guys behind us quickly chiong-ed to the back door. dots. so comical lar. after which i ran too, then siyng stayed behind just in case they dont allow us to enter, if not we have to queue up over again. damn funny lar, people chiong-ing to the backdoor. hahaha.

Yea we were damn smart lar, hahahaha. the queue was damn short at the other entrance, managed to get the book in like 5 to 10 mins time. the book cost me 45 bucks man, damn ex, but it's worth it. after which siyng went to the front entrance to collect the balloons. yea and the paper bag they gave us to put the book is damn nice!!! actually we wanted to go and take a look at the us one, to peek at the chapter pictures. pity the staff havent put the books out yet for display, so no choice we went home after that, yayy to read harrypotter!

Spoilers below, dont read beyond this point if you haven read the book yet.
Overall i think the book's great, definitely better than order of the pheonix. harry's much more cheerful. jk rowling's fantastic, i like her writing style, quite humorous at some point of the book. and everything falls in place like a jig-saw puzzle correctly at the right time. like the part where she said that the opening chapter was meant for philosopher's stone, that something harry discovered in book 2 was actually linked to HBP. everything fits perfectly. i am damn impressed by the idea of horcrux and i was actually quite touched when he told dumbledore that he wont crack up like what he did in book 5, and that he will take up as many death eaters he can, and even voldemort if he can manage it. *applause*

So the rumours about the books were leaked were indeed true heh. im damn sad cos dumbledore died, he's one of my favourite character. to think that he was killed by snape pissed me off. especially when dumbledore trusted him all along, i thought he was a good guy, just that he's damn sickening. an old man's mistake lar. he died all alone, weak from drinking all those stupid potion for a fake horcrux nd he couldnt even summon his wand to defend himself at his dying moments. damn sad. =( then snape just killed dumbledore like that. he's a jerk. ahhhhhhhhhh...

Other than this, the new minister of magic's as cmi as the previous one. snape actually got the defence against the dark arts post, i was very shocked at first. the potions went to this man called horace slughorn, he's a vainpot, and he likes those popular and influential people. but at least i think he can teach. the half-blood prince's actually snape, quite surprising at first. i dont really like the part about snogging, seems like they snog like nobody business. harry ended up with ginny, but that's for only a short period of time cos harry has to go and look for all the horcrux so as to destroy voldemort. he dont want ginny, as well as his other friends to get hurt because of him. and harry might not be returning to hogwarts for his seventh year. yea so it was very sad heh. cos he was marked the Chosen One. that's like sort of his fate. it's like he has to walk the journey alone from this point onwards. especially when dumbledore's no longer around to protect him.

Yea after finish reading the HBP, i seriously cant wait for book 7. at the same time it will be very very sad, cos it will be the last book for the series.

Neither can live while the other survives.
